The Year of Self Love
2017 was a rough year for a lot of us. I struggled a lot with my mental health, but made great strides in managing it. I have started to put more time in towards caring for myself, both physically and mentally. Last year I also started my journey of self discovery and self worth. I read a lot of books that have helped me this far and I wanted to share them with anyone else who might be on their own journey to self worth. “The Self Love Experiment – 15 principles for becoming more kind, compassionate and accepting yourself” -Shannon Kaiser
One day I noticed that small things would affect my entire day. I would become frustrated and take out my anger on the people around me. This book helps you accept yourself and let go of all the little frustrations.
“Eat, Pray, Love” – Elizabeth Gilbert
We have all seen and heard about this book. Some of us have even seen the movie, but I highly recommend the book. (The book is always better.)
“52 Ways to Love Your Body” – Kimber Simpkins
Step away from your scales and take the time to love the body your in before you try to change it. This book helps you look in the mirror and notice the things you LOVE about yourself before the things you don’t.
“52 Lists for Happiness: Weekly Journaling Inspiration for Positivity, Balance, and Joy” – More Seal
This is an interactive journaling prompt book. It provides ideas for lists of gratitude and positivity and it is honestly one of the best purchases I have ever made.
“Mastering The Mindset Of Self-Love: A 28 Day Guided Journal” – Kari Sayers
This is the journal I am starting 2018 with and I highly recommend it.
